The Ronco
Rotisserie saves time and cooks meat in a healthier way. The standard
sized Ronco Rotisserie oven can cook 9 quarter-pound hamburgers
simultaneously and cook a 15 pound turkey in about 3 hours shaving off
30 minutes to an hour of roasting time. Note that cooking times are
relayed in the instruction book that’s included with the oven.
You get to eat meat with less fat because the meat isn’t sitting
in a pan of fat while roasting. Instead, the meat rotates on a spit rod
that’s set in the middle of the Rotisserie and unwanted fat
drains to a tray at the bottom of the oven.
The Ronco Rotisserie oven is an awesome cooking device to use during
the holidays. You can roast your larger meats in a larger Rotisserie
oven in the early part of the day and not have to worry about basting
and consistently monitoring it. That way you can spend more time on
making delicious side dishes and desserts.
There are various sizes of Ronco Rotisserie ovens. Some of the choices
are the Compact size which can roast a 10 pound turkey and is best for
one or two people, or the Standard size which can roast a 15 pound
turkey and is for 2 people or a family. The 5000 model is best for a
family and the 6000 model is appropriate for a large family and serious
holiday cooking.
You have a choice of assorted items to accompany the oven such as meat
thermometers, kabob rods and baskets for ribs, lobsters or vegetables.
Retail stores generally sell the Compact
at around $100. The ovens are also sold via online stores and discount
outlets.
The Ronco Rotisserie ovens are energy efficient, using about half the
electricity of conventional ovens. The compact version uses about 1100
watts of energy. The standard size and the 5000 model use 1250 watts.
The larger size, the 6000 model, uses 1700 watts of energy. Some of the
ovens may have a 3 hour dial timer while others may have digital timers.
Generally, the Rotisserie ovens acquired remarkable ratings from
consumers. The ovens scored around 4.75 out of 5 stars while having a
small number of negative comments in the reviews. Overall, the majority
of people thought the ovens were very useful and well worth the cost. |
